P Missionaries

Alexander is a P who like Rudy also went through the mission’s missionary training center some time before Rudy did. He, his wife and three kids then moved (some years ago now) into Caño Iguana to work with the Joti/Yuwana. The mission had an advancing work established there for many years, with some solid teaching, the birth of a small church and a good start to the NT translation. In 2005, however, these missionaries had to move out when the government evicted us foreigners from working in indigenous territories. Caño Iguana is very remote and difficult to get to. Alexander is advancing in the language and works together with his wife and two Latin Venezuelan women who also went through the training.

What does this mission outreach have to do with the P’s? Well, Alexander and family are P’s and have won the hearts and support of the P churches. I think Rudy has been a connection point of this since part of the recent P missionary trip has resulted in Elendie going on to Caño Iguana as the final leg of his mission trip. If you don’t remember, Elendie is our talented P musician and has decided to go to Caño Iguana for a month to teach the Joti/Yuwana how to play guitar and sing! He arrived there yesterday and sent this photo through their Wi-Fi connection. Elendie is sitting down and Alexander is standing behind him in the photo.

The P church growth is spilling out into other language groups! This amazes me. A prayer for Alex and Elendie during this month is much appreciated.
